Kaydiann Sangster, MRICS, BSc

Appraisal and Tax Department

Kaydiann Sangster is a Real Estate Appraiser Apprentice with Renwick and Associates. Prior to Renwick and Associates, Ms. Sangster worked with the National Land Agency in Jamaica as a Senior Appraiser specializing in appraisals, revaluations, and the maintenance of property tax records. Ms. Sangster was instrumental in the development of the appraisal interactive map designed to allow for easier recognition of value trends, patterns and anomalies. She successfully designed the macros that aided in the successful completion of the revaluation project and transformed the region’s largely paper-based sale and rental database to a digital centralized database. She successfully completed her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in June 2012 to become a member and chartered surveyor.

 

EDUCATION:

Ms. Sangster has a BSc. in Estate Management from the University of Reading in Berkshire, UK. She has taken professional and educational courses in Public Speaking, Supervisory Management, Computer Aided Mass Appraisal, and Geographic Information Systems. Ms. Sangster is currently pursuing the education courses and training to satisfy the requirement in becoming a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and has successfully completed courses in Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures, and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS:

Ms. Sangster is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, and construction.  She maintains her connections with this professional body through continuing education courses offered through the RICS.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES:

Ms. Sangster is a contributing volunteer to the South Jersey Food for the Poor.  Former member of the Planning, Environment and Traffic Planning Committee of the local Planning Authority of Westmoreland, Jamaica.  Developed presentations geared towards educating the general public concerning the real estate valuation and appeal process.
